Eightcap Review

Eightcap's real advantage is what it does not charge: no withdrawal fee, no inactivity fee and a 100 USD minimum deposit. Raw spreads start at 0.0 pips with 7 USD round-turn commission across 800+ markets on MT4, MT5, TradingView and TradeLocker. It holds six licences — but only Australian, UK and EEA residents are onboarded by the ASIC, FCA or CySEC entity. Everyone else trades offshore.

Eightcap at a Glance: Key Facts and Figures

Who Is Eightcap and Who Owns It?

HQ: Melbourne, Australia
Founded: 2009 (15+ yrs operating)
Scale: 8 global offices · 240+ staff
Clients: 80,000+ across 140+ countries
Markets: 800+ CFD instruments
Why it matters: A 15-year track record and six licensed entities put Eightcap among the more established global CFD brokers — but which entity you sign with decides what protection you actually get.

Is Eightcap Regulated? Licences and Client Protection

ASIC — Eightcap Pty Ltd, AFSL 391441
FCA — Eightcap Group Ltd, FRN 921296
CySEC — Eightcap EU Ltd, CIF 246/14
SCB Bahamas — Eightcap Global Ltd, SIA-F220
FSA Seychelles — SD100 · FSC Mauritius — GB25204603
Segregated client funds; negative-balance protection (entity-dependent)
Why it matters: ASIC and FCA licences are widely regarded as the strongest in retail FX — but you only get one if you are onboarded by the Australian or UK entity. Most traders outside those regions are not. Licence numbers checked against Eightcap's own About Us page on 17 Sep 2026; see the entity table further down.

Eightcap Trustpilot Rating and What Traders Say

3,700+ reviews · reading taken 12 Sep 2026 · check the current score on Trustpilot
“Fast execution and easy withdrawals”
“Good spreads on the Raw account”
Minority cite spread widening during news
Why it matters: Verdict skews positive on execution and withdrawals; read the 1★ reviews on volatility-time spreads before funding. Trustpilot scores move, so treat the figure above as a snapshot of 12 Sep 2026, not a live number.

What Can You Trade with Eightcap?

Forex — majors, minors, exotics
Indices — US30, NAS100, GER40, FTSE
Commodities — XAUUSD, oil
Crypto — BTC, ETH, SOL, ADA and more
Shares — global share CFDs
Why it matters: Crypto costs the same on both accounts — BTCUSD's minimum spread is 270 points on Raw and on Standard alike, so the Raw account's commission buys you nothing here. Figures from Eightcap's own crypto price table, checked 17 Sep 2026.

Eightcap Fees and Commissions: What You Actually Pay

Spreads and Leverage Limits by Entity

Spreads: 0.0 (Raw) / 1.0 (Std) EURUSD
Leverage: up to 1:500 on the offshore entities
ASIC, FCA and CySEC retail clients capped at 1:30
Trade size: 0.01–100 lots · margin call 80% · stop-out 50%
Execution: market, no dealing desk
Why it matters: Headline 1:500 applies only to the offshore entities (SCB Bahamas, FSA Seychelles, FSC Mauritius). UK, EU and Australian retail clients get 1:30 by law. The stop-out at 50% means half your margin is gone before positions are closed out. Margin and trade-size figures from Eightcap's account-options page, checked 17 Sep 2026.

Commissions

Raw: $3.50 per side ($7 round turn) on FX and metals
In other base currencies: GBP 2.25 / EUR 2.75 per side
Standard: commission-free (spread only)
Indices and crypto: spread-only on both accounts
Shares: commission is built into the Standard spread

Other Costs: Inactivity, Withdrawal, Swap and Conversion

No inactivity fee
No deposit or withdrawal fee — Eightcap lists $0 against every withdrawal method
Your bank or wallet provider may still charge you
Swap/overnight financing applies to positions held overnight
Currency conversion may apply if you trade outside your base currency
Base currencies: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, SGD, USD — no THB
Why it matters: Zero withdrawal and inactivity fees is genuinely uncommon: AvaTrade, for one, charges an inactivity fee after three idle months. What Eightcap does not publish is a swap rate or a conversion percentage — both are "standard" and "may apply" with no number attached, so ask support for your instrument before you size a position. Fee table checked 17 Sep 2026.

Restricted Countries: Who Eightcap Will Not Accept

Eightcap does not accept clients from the United States (CFTC/NFA rules) and a range of sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions. Lists vary by entity:
USAJapanRussiaBelarusIranNorth KoreaSyriaCubaIraqLibyaSudanMyanmarAfghanistanVenezuelaYemen
Why it matters: US residents cannot open a live account — Eightcap holds no US registration. Verify your country with support before depositing.

✗ Every withdrawal waits 1–2 business days for finance review before processing even starts
✗ No published swap rates or currency-conversion percentage

✗ Spreads can widen during major news
✗ No fixed-spread or Islamic-only entity in all regions

Which Eightcap Entity Will You Be Onboarded With?

Eightcap is one brand with six licensed companies behind it, and the one that opens your account decides your leverage cap and your protection. Eightcap does not publish a country-by-country map, but it does publish which regulator each company answers to.

RegulatorEntity and licenceWho it onboardsMax retail leverage
ASIC (Australia)Eightcap Pty Ltd — AFSL 391441Australian residents1:30
FCA (UK)Eightcap Group Ltd — FRN 921296UK residents1:30
CySEC (Cyprus)Eightcap EU Ltd — CIF 246/14EEA residents1:30
SCB (Bahamas)Eightcap Global Ltd — SIA-F220Most other countriesup to 1:500
FSA (Seychelles)Eightcap International Ltd — SD100Most other countriesup to 1:500
FSC (Mauritius)Eightcap International Trading — GB25204603Most other countriesup to 1:500

What this means for you. If you do not live in Australia, the UK or the EEA, you will almost certainly be onboarded by one of the three offshore companies. You get the higher leverage — and none of the ASIC, FCA or CySEC protections that this broker leads with. Negative-balance protection is entity-dependent, and Eightcap says so itself.

Trading from Thailand? Eightcap runs a Thai-language site and accepts Thai QR deposits from $20 to $4,500, with withdrawals paid instantly up to $300,000 — the fastest withdrawal route it offers anywhere. What it does not offer is a THB account: the seven base currencies are AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, SGD and USD, so baht is converted on the way in and again on the way out, and Eightcap does not publish the conversion rate it uses.

Entity names, licence numbers, payment limits and base currencies were read from Eightcap's own About Us, Payments and Account Options pages on 17 September 2026.

Eightcap Account Types and Pricing

Eightcap keeps pricing simple — two live account types, same $100 minimum, no hidden platform fees.

AccountEURUSD spreadCommissionMin deposit
Standardfrom 1.0 pipNone$100Open Account
Raw ★from 0.0 pips$3.50/side$100Open Account
TradingViewfrom 0.0 pips$3.50/side$100Open Account

Cost per lot (EURUSD): Raw ≈ $7 all-in round turn vs Standard ≈ $10 (1 pip). Active traders save with Raw; casual traders may prefer Standard's simplicity. Commission is charged in your base currency — $3.50 per side on AUD, USD, NZD, SGD and CAD accounts, GBP 2.25 on a sterling account and EUR 2.75 on a euro one.

The same on both accounts: 0.01–100 lot trade size, 80% margin call, 50% stop-out, 800+ instruments, scalping allowed, and base currencies of AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, SGD or USD. Eightcap's account-options page currently lists only Standard and Raw as live account types — the TradingView account is Raw pricing dealt from TradingView charts, not a third fee structure. Checked 17 September 2026.

Eightcap vs IC Markets vs Pepperstone

How does Eightcap stack up against the ECN brokers traders most often compare it with?

Verdict: Eightcap matches the top ECN brokers on raw pricing and adds TradingView dealing. IC Markets and Pepperstone edge ahead on Trustpilot volume and platform choice (cTrader). Where Eightcap separates itself is at the cashier: it charges nothing to withdraw, on any method, and nothing for sitting idle.

Spreads, commissions and minimum deposits in this table were checked on each broker's own site on 17 September 2026. Raw spreads are minimums, not averages — all three brokers quote wider spreads most of the trading day.

Eightcap is one of the more established names in online CFD trading — founded in Melbourne in 2009 and now regulated across four tier-1 and offshore jurisdictions (ASIC, FCA, CySEC and the SCB), serving 80,000+ clients in 140+ countries.

What makes Eightcap stand out: raw spreads from 0.0 pips with a flat $3.50-per-side commission, a low $100 minimum deposit, and a genuine four-platform line-up — MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView and TradeLocker. There are no inactivity or withdrawal fees, and the broker has won industry recognition for its TradingView and crypto-CFD offering.

What to weigh: Eightcap does not accept US residents, and its headline 1:500 leverage only applies to the offshore entity — ASIC, FCA and CySEC clients are capped at 1:30 by regulation. As with any CFD broker, spreads can widen during high-impact news.

Bottom line: for a cost-conscious trader who wants tier-1 regulation, tight raw pricing and TradingView dealing in one account, Eightcap is a strong, well-rounded choice.

Eightcap Fees, Funding and Withdrawal Times

Eightcap charges nothing of its own to move money in or out. The number that actually matters is how long it takes — and there is a step most review sites leave out.

What Eightcap Charges

How Long a Withdrawal Really Takes

Every withdrawal goes to Eightcap's finance team for review first, and Eightcap states that review takes 1–2 business days. The processing times below start after that. So a card withdrawal is realistically three to seven business days end to end, not two to five.

MethodDepositWithdrawal (after review)FeeLimits
Mastercard / VisaInstant2–5 business days$0$100–$50,000 in, no limit out
PayPalInstant1–5 business days$0$100–$10,000 in, no limit out

Interac (Canada)Instant1–5 business days$0$100–$3,000 in, $50 minimum out

Three conditions worth knowing before you fund. Withdrawals are paid back through the method you deposited with; if you used several and one was a card, Eightcap may return funds to that card first regardless of what you asked for. Eightcap charges nothing, but your bank or wallet may charge you at their end. And Eightcap can ask for proof of identity and address before releasing a withdrawal, which adds time on a first payout.

Every figure in both tables was read from Eightcap's own Payments and Make a Withdrawal pages on 17 September 2026. We have not yet timed a withdrawal ourselves — when we do, the measured figure will be published here alongside the broker's stated one.

Eightcap FAQs

Everything traders ask before opening an Eightcap account - regulation, costs, platforms, withdrawals and which entity will hold your money.

Yes. Eightcap was founded in Melbourne in 2009 and operates six licensed companies: ASIC in Australia (Eightcap Pty Ltd, AFSL 391441), the FCA in the UK (Eightcap Group Ltd, FRN 921296), CySEC in Cyprus (Eightcap EU Ltd, CIF 246/14), plus the SCB in the Bahamas (SIA-F220), the FSA in Seychelles (SD100) and the FSC in Mauritius (GB25204603). Which one holds your account depends on where you live, and it decides both your leverage cap and your protection.
The minimum deposit is $100, or the equivalent in your base currency. Eightcap offers seven base currencies: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, SGD and USD.
Two live accounts: Standard (spreads from 1.0 pip, no commission) and Raw (spreads from 0.0 pips plus $3.50 per side). Both carry the same $100 minimum, the same 800+ instruments, 0.01–100 lot trade sizes, an 80% margin call and a 50% stop-out. Trading from TradingView charts uses Raw pricing rather than a separate fee structure. A free demo account is also available.
Raw account: from 0.0 pips on EURUSD with $3.50 per side ($7 round turn) on FX and metals, or GBP 2.25 / EUR 2.75 per side if your account is in those currencies. Standard account: from 1.0 pip with no separate commission. Indices and crypto are spread-only on both — BTCUSD's minimum spread is 270 points either way, so Raw saves you nothing on crypto.
MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView and TradeLocker — across desktop, web and mobile. All four are available on a free demo account as well as a live one.
No. Eightcap is not registered with US regulators (CFTC/NFA) and cannot onboard US residents.
Up to 1:500 on the offshore entities (SCB Bahamas, FSA Seychelles, FSC Mauritius). Clients onboarded by the ASIC, FCA or CySEC entity are capped at 1:30 on retail forex by regulation — and that cap is the trade-off for the tier-1 protections.
No. Eightcap lists a $0 transaction fee against every withdrawal method, and charges no account or inactivity fee. Two things it does charge for are less visible: swap on positions held overnight, and a currency conversion if you trade outside your base currency — neither has a published rate. Note also that every withdrawal is reviewed by Eightcap's finance team for 1–2 business days before the method's own processing time starts.
800+ CFD instruments across forex, indices, commodities, cryptocurrency and global shares. Eightcap's own site says 800+, not the higher figures quoted elsewhere.
Yes — a low $100 minimum, demo accounts, education and an easy TradingView/TradeLocker interface suit beginners. Note CFDs are high-risk and most retail accounts lose money.
Open one from the same sign-up form as a live account and pick demo instead of live. It is free, it works on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView and TradeLocker, and no deposit is needed. Eightcap does not publish how long a demo stays open or what virtual balance it starts with, so ask support for both before you build a strategy on it.
It depends where you live. Australian residents go to Eightcap Pty Ltd under ASIC, UK residents to Eightcap Group Ltd under the FCA, and EEA residents to Eightcap EU Ltd under CySEC. Everyone else is onboarded by one of the three offshore companies in the Bahamas, Seychelles or Mauritius. The offshore entities offer leverage up to 1:500 instead of 1:30, but none of the ASIC, FCA or CySEC protections. Eightcap does not publish a country-by-country list, so confirm your entity with support before you deposit.
