Aquafunded Review
AquaFunded is a Dubai-run forex and CFD prop firm selling one-time challenges from $20 (Two Step Pro $5K, list) and instant-funded accounts up to $400K. Funded traders keep 90%, or 100% with a paid add-on. The catches: a 3% fee on every payout, the challenge fee is only refunded on the 4th payout, and Trustpilot hides its rating after removing fake reviews.

Inactivity: No trade for 30 days breaches the account
Banned styles: Trades under 2 minutes may count as tick scalping; using over 80% of margin on one position loses its profit; arbitrage and HFT are banned

How do AquaFunded’s drawdown, consistency and payout rules work?
Drawdown & Wave Stop
Static max loss: Two Step Standard (8%), Two Step Elite (10%) and One Step Flex (12%) never move
Trailing max loss: Instant, One Step Standard and Two Step Pro trail your high and never move back down
Wave Stop (funded): An open loss of 2% closes all trades; the first time cuts your split to 50%, the second breaches the account. One Step Flex and new Instant Standard use a 1% version: 50%, then 25%, then breach
Source: AquaFunded help centre, checked 22 Sep 2026.
News & Trading Style
Allowed: EAs, trade copiers across your own accounts, hedging within one account, martingale, no stop loss, no lot limit, overnight and weekend holding
Not allowed: Tick scalping, HFT, latency or hedge arbitrage, delayed-feed exploits, changing your platform password
Source: AquaFunded help centre, checked 22 Sep 2026.
Payout Schedule
Then: Every 14 days, counted from the first trade after each payout
Before requesting: Balance above the starting balance, all trades closed, minimum days met, consistency rule met
Caps: On $100K+ accounts the first two payouts are capped at $10,000 each
Fees and methods: 3% processing fee on every payout; crypto under $5,000, Rise (bank or crypto) from $500; “paid in 24 business hours or $1,000 extra” guarantee (Mon to Fri, Dubai time)
Source: AquaFunded help centre, checked 22 Sep 2026.
Scaling Plan
Reward: Account grows by 25% of the starting balance, for example $100K to $125K
Ceiling: $4,000,000 through scaling; $400,000 is the most you can hold by merging funded accounts
Aqua Elite: Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers stack on top of scaling
All scaling is subject to AquaFunded’s review and approval.
How much does it cost to trade with AquaFunded?
Challenge Fees & Refunds
Refund: The challenge fee comes back with your 4th payout; breach before then and it is lost
Extra accounts: The plan table adds 5% to 25% off for a 2nd to 5th account bought together
Add-ons: 100% lifetime split, 7-day payouts (challenges) or on-demand payouts (instant) cost extra at checkout
Source: aquafunded.com and AquaFunded help centre, checked 22 Sep 2026.
Commission & Spreads
Indices and crypto: $0 commission
Spreads: Raw spreads, advertised “from 0.0”
Execution: Simulated: fills use real quotes from liquidity providers but are not sent to the market
Source: AquaFunded help centre, checked 22 Sep 2026.
What a Payout Really Costs
Processing fee: 3% of the amount requested
Example: $5,000 profit on 90%: $4,500 minus about $135 fee = about $4,365
With the 100% add-on: $5,000 minus about $150 fee = about $4,850
Our arithmetic from the published split and 3% fee; the fee is taken from the requested amount.

| AquaFunded | FTMO | FundedNext | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot (22 Sep 2026) | Rating hidden: fake reviews removed (1,204 visible) | 4.8 from 52,687 | 4.5 from 79,686 |
| Cheapest entry | $20 one-time (Two Step Pro $5K, list) | See our FTMO review | See our FundedNext review |
| Funded split | 90%; 100% with a paid add-on | See our FTMO review | See our FundedNext review |
| Payout fee | 3% of each payout | See our FTMO review | See our FundedNext review |
| Instant funding | Yes, $2.5K to $400K | Not on its homepage | See our FundedNext review |
| Platforms | MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, TradeLocker | MT4, MT5, cTrader | See our FundedNext review |
Verdict: AquaFunded is cheaper to start and offers instant accounts, but the hidden Trustpilot rating, the 3% payout fee and the 90% default split cut into that edge. FTMO and FundedNext have far larger, visible review records.
