Platforms (MT5 & Match-Trader)

Equity Edge offers MetaTrader 5 and Match-Trader. You pick one when you buy a challenge and cannot switch that account later; you can choose the other platform on your next purchase.
🥇 MetaTrader 5
MetaQuotes flagship terminal. EA support, Expert Advisors, full charting. Desktop + mobile.
🌐 Match-Trader
Web-based platform (no install needed). Not available to traders in Poland.
Country limits: MT5 is not offered in the USA or Canada, and Match-Trader is not offered in Poland. Equity Edge also does not serve the USA, Canada or six other countries at all (list below), so Match-Trader is not a workaround.

Markets: Forex, Indices, Metals, Crypto

Equity Edge is a CFD prop firm — you trade contracts-for-difference on Forex pairs, indices, commodities and crypto. Commission is $3 per round lot on Legacy, Swift and Flagship accounts and $6 per round lot on Instant accounts; indices are commission-free. Crypto cannot be traded over the weekend.

Leverage by mode: Up to 1:100 on Flagship 2-Step, 1:50 on Flagship 1-Step, 1:40 on Legacy and 1:30 on Swift and Instant. Higher leverage = bigger position from the same equity, but also faster path to a daily-loss breach.

The 3 Rules That Actually Fail Traders

Most Equity Edge failures cluster around these three rules:
1. Max Daily Loss (3-4%)
On a $100K Legacy 1-Step or Flagship account that's a $4,000 daily cap. Swift 1-Step and Instant are tighter at 3% ($3,000). Legacy 2-Step allows 5%.
2. Max Overall Loss (5-10%)
1-Step and Instant accounts use a trailing limit of 5-6%. 2-Step accounts use a larger overall limit of 8-10%, which Equity Edge does not label as trailing.
3. Consistency Score (Instant: 15%)
On Instant accounts, no single trading day can be more than 15% of total profit. Brand applies it on payout requests.
Insider tip: The minimum is 2 trading days on Legacy, Swift and Flagship 1-Step, 3 on Flagship 2-Step and 7 on Instant. Only Instant has a consistency score, so on Instant spread profit over several days.
