Best Forex Brokers 2026
Ranked by our own editorial score. We earn a commission on some sign-ups, which does not affect a firm's score — how we rate.
We have reviewed 123 forex brokers. The list below ranks the fifteen that score highest against our published criteria, which weigh regulation and the entity you actually sign with, the real cost of a round turn, withdrawal reliability, platform choice and the quality of support.
Each entry links to the full review, where that broker’s current spreads, minimum deposit, leverage caps and licences are set out with the date we last checked them. Scores follow our rating methodology and are revised whenever a broker changes its terms. We earn a commission on some accounts opened through this page; it does not affect how a broker is scored, and brokers cannot pay for a place on this list.
Brokers we believe have closed, gone offline or attracted credible scam warnings are excluded from this ranking even where their historical score was high. Their reviews stay published so the record is still there. For the full library rather than this top fifteen, see every broker review we have published, or our head-to-head comparisons.

How to read this ranking
A high score here means a broker did well against our criteria. It does not mean the broker suits you, and the two questions that decide that are not in the ranking at all.
Which entity will you actually be trading with
Most large brokers operate several legal entities under one brand, and the protections attached to each are very different. The same website can sign a UK client to an FCA-regulated company and a client elsewhere to an offshore subsidiary with no compensation scheme and far higher leverage. Before depositing, find the entity name on the client agreement and check the licence number against the regulator’s own register rather than the broker’s marketing page. Our reviews name the entity where the broker discloses it.
What a trade actually costs you
Advertised spreads describe the best case on the most liquid pair at the quietest moment of the session. The figure that matters is the total round turn: spread plus commission, measured on the pairs you trade at the hours you trade them. A raw-spread account with a commission is often cheaper than a zero-commission account with a wider spread, and often is not. Swap charges on positions held overnight can exceed the spread entirely for anyone holding for days rather than minutes.
What we check before a broker appears here
- Regulation. Which regulator, which entity, which licence number, and whether the licence is current on the regulator’s register.
- Costs. Spreads and commissions as published, plus any inactivity, deposit or withdrawal fees.
- Withdrawals. Published processing times, methods supported, and whether users report delays.
- Platforms. MT4, MT5, cTrader, proprietary web and mobile apps, and which account types can use each.
- Account terms. Minimum deposit, leverage caps by entity and instrument, and whether scalping, hedging and expert advisors are permitted.
- Support. Channels offered, hours covered and languages.
Where a broker does not publish a figure, we say so rather than estimate it. Where our own checks contradict a broker’s marketing, the review says that too.
Regulated, offshore, and what sits between
Regulators are not interchangeable. An FCA, ASIC or CySEC licence brings client-money segregation, capped retail leverage and access to a complaints process, and in some cases a compensation scheme if the firm fails. Offshore licences from jurisdictions with light supervision bring higher leverage and fewer restrictions, and correspondingly less to fall back on if something goes wrong.
Neither is automatically the wrong choice. What matters is knowing which one you are signing up to, because the broker’s homepage will usually lead with the strictest licence it holds regardless of which entity will take your deposit.
