What is FXGT?

Who is FXGT?

FXGT.com is a hybrid crypto-and-forex broker founded in 2019, offering CFDs across traditional and digital assets on MetaTrader platforms.
Scale: the firm reports over 750,000 registered users and 24/7 support.
Accounts: five types — Standard, Optimus, Low Spread, Mini and ECN Zero — with minimum balances of $0 or $100 depending on the type.
Platforms: MT4, MT5 and the proprietary FXGT Trader app.
Worth knowing: FXGT states that dealing in cryptocurrencies falls outside the scope of its licensed activities and is provided through licensed third parties, so the crypto side of a crypto-and-forex broker is the part its licences do not cover.

Regulation & Fund Safety

FXGT is a group of separate companies, and which one you contract with decides what protection you have. From its own legal disclosure, read 23 September 2026:
GT Global Ltd — Seychelles, registration 8421720-1, FSA Securities Dealer licence SD019. This is the entity most retail clients outside South Africa sign with.
GT IO Markets (Pty) Ltd — South Africa, registration 2015/059344/07, FSCA FSP 48896.
GT Investment Services Ltd — Cyprus, HE 389575, CySEC 382/20, operating fxgt.eu. FXGT states this entity serves eligible counterparties only and does not target retail clients resident in the EU.
GT Global Markets Ltd — Vanuatu, VFSC principal licence 700601, also eligible counterparties only, not retail.
GT Markets Capital Ltd — Mauritius, Investment Dealer licence GB24203727. GT Payment Agent Ltd (Cyprus) handles payments for GT Global Ltd.
What this means: the CySEC licence is real, but it is not the licence a retail trader gets. Read the entity name on your own account agreement rather than the list of logos, because the Seychelles FSA does not carry the conduct rules or the compensation scheme that a CySEC retail licence does.

What Traders Say on Trustpilot

FXGT scores 4.3 / 5 on Trustpilot from 1,668 reviews (23 September 2026): 70% five-star, 12% four-star, 5% three-star, 3% two-star and 10% one-star.
Context: Trustpilot shows its high-risk investment information notice on the profile, which it attaches to CFD and leveraged-trading firms as a category, and FXGT invites its own customers to review, so the sample is not spontaneous.
Praised for: crypto-and-forex in one account, fast onboarding, responsive support.
Watch-outs: a 10% one-star tail is large for a 4.3 average, and most complaints in that tail concern withdrawals and bonus conditions. Read the one-star reviews, not the score.

Markets and instruments

FXGT lists eight asset classes on its account tables, read 23 September 2026: FX pairs, equity indices, metals, energies, stocks, cryptocurrencies, synthetic cryptocurrency pairs and its own GTi12 index. One account type also carries DeFi tokens and NFTs.
Synthetic crypto pairs are FXGT’s own construction — crypto quoted against crypto or against gold rather than against a currency — and are not available at most brokers.
GTi12 is an FXGT index tracking a basket of major cryptocurrencies.
Coverage differs by account: the Mini and Low Spread tables omit synthetic crypto pairs, so check the instrument list for the account you open rather than the site-wide list.
Note: FXGT does not publish a total instrument count, so we do not quote one. An earlier version of this page said 185+ CFDs across six asset classes; that figure is not on FXGT’s site.

Best FXGT Features

Instant Execution

FXGT runs market execution on MT4 and MT5 with stop-out levels set per account type: 40% on Standard and Mini, 20% on Low Spread, and 0% on the Optimus account, with a 70% margin call on the Standard account. A 0% stop-out means positions are only closed when margin is fully exhausted, which is the opposite of a safety feature — it lets a losing position run until nothing is left rather than closing it early. Check which stop-out applies before you size a trade, because it changes how much of a move your account survives.

Adjustable Leverage

FXGT leverage runs up to 1:1000 on forex and as high as 1:5000 on its Optimus account, and the cap that applies to you depends on the entity you register with and the instrument you trade. Treat those numbers as a ceiling rather than a target: leverage magnifies losses exactly as much as it magnifies gains, and at these levels a small move against a position can exhaust the margin behind it. Size trades against your account balance, not against the maximum on offer.

Secure Platform

FXGT holds licences through several entities — FSCA in South Africa, CySEC in Cyprus, and FSA Seychelles and VFSC Vanuatu for offshore clients — and states that client funds are held in segregated accounts with negative balance protection. What you actually get depends on which entity you are onboarded to, since an offshore registration does not carry the same conduct rules or compensation arrangements as an EU or South African one. Confirm the contracting entity on your own account documents.

Comprehensive Tools

Both the MT4 and MT5 accounts carry the standard MetaTrader toolkit — custom indicators, expert advisors and automated strategies — and FXGT adds its own FXGT Trader app and an MT5 tools pack. Trade sizes run from 0.01 to 50 lots, with a 200-lot maximum volume and a cap of 100 open positions and 100 pending orders. The Mini account uses a 10,000-unit contract size instead of the standard 100,000, so one lot there is a tenth of the exposure.

FXGT Platforms: MT4, MT5 and the FXGT App

Opening an account

Registration runs through the FXGT Client Portal with two-factor authentication, and three of the five account types — Standard, Optimus and Mini — carry no minimum balance, so an account can be funded with whatever you choose to start with. Low Spread and ECN Zero require $100. Accounts can be denominated in USD, EUR, JPY or THB, or in BTC, ETH, USDT, ADA or XRP, which is unusual and means your account balance itself can move with the crypto market before you place a single trade.

MT4 and MT5

FXGT runs both MetaTrader generations: MT4 on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, and MT5 across the same four. MT5 is the one to pick unless you depend on a specific MT4 expert advisor — it carries the fuller instrument coverage, including stocks and the GTi12 index, and FXGT’s own MT5 tools pack. Custom indicators, expert advisors and automated strategies work as on any MetaTrader broker. For a comparison of platform toolkits across brokers, see our GuruFocus review.

The FXGT app and web platform

Alongside MetaTrader, FXGT offers its own FXGT Trader web platform and a mobile app, with positions and balances shared across all of them through the same account. The practical limits are the same wherever you trade: 0.01 to 50 lots per order, a 200-lot maximum volume, and a cap of 100 open positions and 100 pending orders at a time.

What differs by account

The platform is the same across account types; the risk settings are not. Stop-out sits at 40% on Standard and Mini, 20% on Low Spread and 0% on Optimus, and the Mini account uses a 10,000-unit contract size rather than the standard 100,000, so one lot there is a tenth of the exposure. Check both before you size a position, because they change how much of an adverse move the account survives.

FXGT Fees: How the Five Accounts Compare

What a trade actually costs on each account

FXGT sells five account types, and only one of them charges commission. That single fact decides most of the cost comparison.

  • The four commission-free accounts. Low Spread (from 0.5 pips, $100 minimum balance), Optimus (from 0.8 pips, $0), Standard (from 1.3 pips, $0) and Mini (from 1.5 pips, $0, on a 10,000-unit contract). The entire cost of a trade sits inside the spread, which makes them simple to budget and suits swing and position trading.

  • ECN Zero (raw spreads). From 0.0 pips with a $100 minimum balance, and a commission of $6 flat per FX lot, $7 taken once at trade opening on precious metals and 0.04% taken once at opening on crypto. On a standard lot, $6 is roughly the equivalent of 0.6 pips on EUR/USD, so ECN Zero only beats the 0.5-pip Low Spread account when the raw spread you are actually quoted is meaningfully tighter than half a pip.

Spreads are variable and account availability differs by country — FXGT prints the IP country it has detected at the foot of its site — so price the instruments you actually trade in the live table before choosing. Figures read from FXGT on 23 September 2026. An earlier version of this section described a Pro account, a $5 minimum deposit, a six-day swap-free allowance and a $20 inactivity fee after 90 days; none of those appear in FXGT’s current published conditions.

FXGT Review 2026: Is It the Best Hybrid Broker for Forex and Crypto?

The Evolution of Multi-Asset Hybrid Trading

As we navigate 2026, the demand for a single platform that handles both traditional and digital assets has skyrocketed. FXGT has built its offer around the hybrid model, putting forex and cryptocurrency CFDs inside the same account.

What the Hybrid Model Actually Gives You

  • Unified Account: Unlike traditional brokers that require separate wallets, FXGT puts FX pairs, equity indices, metals, energies, stocks, cryptocurrencies, its own synthetic crypto pairs and the GTi12 crypto-basket index inside a single MT4 or MT5 account. It does not publish a total instrument count, and coverage differs by account type — the Mini and Low Spread tables omit synthetic crypto pairs — so check the list for the account you open.

  • Extreme Leverage: In 2026 FXGT offers up to 1:1000 on Forex and 1:5000 on the Optimus Account. Leverage at that level lets a small deposit control a large position, which magnifies losses exactly as sharply as gains — a small adverse move can exhaust the margin behind the trade, so treat the headline figure as a ceiling rather than a setting to use.

  • Crypto Deposits & Withdrawals: Being a true hybrid, you can fund your account using BTC, ETH, XRP, ADA, or USDT. This allows for near-instant transactions and bypasses traditional banking delays.

FXGT lists negative balance protection on its account tables, and crypto trades around the clock, so it suits traders who want forex and crypto access without switching platforms — provided the leverage on offer is treated as a limit, not a default. One caveat belongs here rather than in the footnotes: FXGT states that dealing in cryptocurrencies falls outside the scope of its licensed activities and is provided through licensed third parties, so the half of the hybrid that makes it distinctive is the half its licences do not cover.

The FXGT Bonus Program: What You Actually Have to Do

Maximizing Your Equity with Recurring Trading Credits

FXGT’s bonus programme was rebuilt and is no longer a flat credit on every transfer. As published on fxgt.com on 23 September 2026, it has two parts, and both are earned by trading volume rather than by depositing.

1. The 30% Milestone Bonus

Trade until you have accumulated 3 lifetime Reward GTLots. Your next deposit then receives a 30% bonus. FXGT’s own worked example: deposit $150 and receive $45.

2. The tiered Loyalty Bonus

Three tiers, entered at 6 lifetime Reward GTLots and climbing with volume. FXGT’s example shows 20 Reward GTLots earning $3,000 and moving the trader up a tier.

What the small print says

  • KYC verification must be complete before any bonus is credited.

  • Every bonus is capped — FXGT states there is a maximum amount you can receive, without publishing the figure on this page.

  • A GTLot is FXGT’s own unit, and a Reward GTLot is a further qualification on it. How your trades convert into Reward GTLots decides how long the volume requirement actually takes, and that conversion is set by FXGT.

How to think about it: a credit bonus is not cash. It works like extra leverage — it gives an open position more room before a margin call, but it also makes it easy to open trades larger than your own deposit would support, and the credit itself is not yours to withdraw. Read FXGT’s promotion terms for how the credit is treated when you withdraw your own funds, because on a credit bonus a withdrawal can remove the credit and force a margin call on open positions. Promotions also vary by country. An earlier version of this section described a flat 25% Loyalty Bonus on every transfer, capped at $10,000, with Pro and ECN accounts excluded; that programme and those account names are no longer on FXGT’s site.

Who Can Open an FXGT Account?

FXGT is not a single company. Its own legal disclosure, read on 23 September 2026, names six: GT Global Ltd (Seychelles, FSA SD019), GT IO Markets (Pty) Ltd (South Africa, FSCA FSP 48896), GT Investment Services Ltd (Cyprus, CySEC 382/20), GT Global Markets Ltd (Vanuatu, VFSC 700601), GT Markets Capital Ltd (Mauritius, GB24203727) and GT Payment Agent Ltd (Cyprus, payments). Which one registers your account decides what you actually get: the leverage cap you are allowed, the conduct rules your broker has to follow, and whether any compensation arrangement stands behind your money. The decisive detail is that FXGT states the Cyprus and Vanuatu companies serve eligible counterparties only and do not target retail clients — so a retail trader is almost always contracting with the Seychelles entity, whatever the CySEC badge implies.

What this review can confirm

  • FXGT names five regulators: the FSA (Seychelles, SD019), the FSCA (South Africa, FSP 48896), CySEC (Cyprus, 382/20), the VFSC (Vanuatu, 700601) and the Mauritius FSC (GB24203727). None of them is Japan’s Financial Services Agency, and none is a United States regulator. FXGT states its site is not intended for residents of the United States, EU member states, Canada, North Korea or Ukraine.
  • Crypto sits outside the licences. FXGT’s own disclosure says dealing in any form of cryptocurrencies falls outside the scope of its licensed activities, that those markets are unregulated, and that the service is provided through licensed third parties rather than by FXGT directly.
  • This review already states that the leverage cap applying to you depends on the entity you are registered with — but it never says which entity applies which cap. The headline figures of 1:1000 on forex and 1:5000 on the Optimus account are described here as running through FXGT’s offshore entities.
  • The 25% bonus is entity-bound too. The credit bonus described elsewhere on this page excludes Pro and ECN accounts, is capped at $10,000 and cannot be withdrawn. Three things about it decide whether the credit is worth anything to you, and this review can confirm none of them: which countries and which entities the promotion is actually offered under; whether any trading volume has to be completed before profits made on bonus credit can be withdrawn, and how much; and whether the credit is reduced or removed when you withdraw your own money, which on a credit bonus can force a margin call on open positions. FXGT’s own promotion terms are the only authority on those three points, and we could not retrieve them — see below.

What this review still cannot tell you

Updated 23 September 2026. The entity names and licence numbers above, and the restricted-country statement, now come from FXGT’s own site. Two things remain unpublished: the mapping of which entity onboards residents of which specific country, and the full promotion terms for the credit bonus. FXGT shows different account types, promotions and conditions depending on where you browse from — it prints the IP country it has detected at the foot of the page — so the only reliable answer for your own case is the company name printed on your client agreement.

What to check before you deposit

Open the FXGT client agreement and confirm three things: the name of the company you are contracting with, the regulator and licence number printed on that agreement, and the maximum leverage that entity applies to the instruments you intend to trade. If the company named is the Seychelles or the Vanuatu entity, you are an offshore client whatever the CySEC and FSCA licences elsewhere on the site suggest. If you live in a country FXGT does not serve, you will usually find out at the identity-verification step rather than before it, so ask FXGT support in writing before you transfer any money.

Pros and Cons of FXGT

In its favour, FXGT puts forex and crypto CFDs in the same MT4 or MT5 account, asks no minimum balance on three of its five account types, offers four commission-free accounts alongside a raw-spread ECN Zero account, funds and withdraws in crypto as well as fiat, and runs 24/7 support for a reported 750,000+ registered users. Against that, leverage runs to 1:1000 and as high as 1:5000 on the Optimus account, which also uses a 0% stop-out so a losing position is closed only when the margin is completely gone; FXGT states that crypto dealing falls outside the scope of its licensed activities and is provided through third parties; and the entity most retail clients actually sign with is GT Global Ltd in Seychelles, not the CySEC company, which FXGT says serves eligible counterparties only. Its Trustpilot score is 4.3 from 1,668 reviews, but 10% of those are one-star.

What is the Pricing of FXGT?

FXGT prices its accounts by cost model rather than by tier, and on 23 September 2026 it published five of them. Four are commission-free, so the entire cost of a trade sits inside the spread: Low Spread from 0.5 pips ($100 minimum balance), Optimus from 0.8, Standard from 1.3 and Mini from 1.5 (all $0 minimum). Only ECN Zero charges separately — $6 flat per FX lot, $7 taken once at trade opening on precious metals and 0.04% taken once at opening on crypto — against raw spreads from 0.0 pips and a $100 minimum balance. On a standard lot that commission is the equivalent of about 0.6 pips on EUR/USD, so ECN Zero only beats Low Spread when the raw spread you are actually quoted is meaningfully tighter than 0.5 pips. Spreads are variable and account availability differs by country, so check the live table for the instruments you trade before choosing a model.

FXGT vs FxPro vs Exness

FXGT and FxPro come up against each other because they overlap on MetaTrader and on forex CFDs, but they are built around different propositions. FXGT's pitch is breadth inside a single account — forex, indices, metals, energies, stocks, crypto CFDs and synthetic crypto pairs on MT4 or MT5, crypto deposits and withdrawals, no minimum balance on three of its five account types, and leverage up to 1:1000 (1:5000 on Optimus) through its Seychelles entity. Rather than crown a winner, compare the two on what actually costs you money: four of FXGT's five accounts are commission-free, with spreads from 0.5 pips on Low Spread, while ECN Zero quotes from 0.0 pips plus $6 flat per FX lot. Put those figures against FxPro's own account pricing for the instruments you trade — our FxPro review breaks down its accounts, platforms and trading costs in full.

Frequently Asked Questions

FXGT is a group of separate companies. Retail clients outside South Africa are normally onboarded to GT Global Ltd, registered in Seychelles (8421720-1) under FSA Securities Dealer licence SD019. South African clients get GT IO Markets (Pty) Ltd, FSCA FSP 48896. The group also holds a CySEC licence (GT Investment Services Ltd, 382/20) and a Vanuatu VFSC licence (GT Global Markets Ltd, 700601), but FXGT states that both of those serve eligible counterparties only and do not target retail clients. So the CySEC badge is real but it is not the licence a retail trader signs under. Check the entity name on your own account agreement.
You can trade crypto CFDs and synthetic crypto pairs alongside forex in the same account, which is the firm’s main selling point. FXGT’s own disclosure adds an important qualification: dealing in any form of cryptocurrencies falls outside the scope of its licensed activities, those markets are unregulated, and the service is provided through licensed third parties rather than by FXGT directly. Treat the crypto side as outside whatever protection the licence gives you.
Five, as published on 23 September 2026. Standard: spreads from 1.3 pips, $0 minimum balance, 40% stop-out. Optimus: from 0.8 pips, $0 minimum, leverage to 1:5000, 0% stop-out. Low Spread: from 0.5 pips, $100 minimum, 20% stop-out. Mini: from 1.5 pips, $0 minimum, a 10,000-unit contract size. ECN Zero: from 0.0 pips, $100 minimum, and the only account that charges commission. All five run on MT4 and MT5. Account availability varies by country.
Four of the five accounts are commission-free, so the whole cost sits in the spread — from 0.5 pips on Low Spread up to 1.5 on Mini. Only ECN Zero charges separately: $6 flat per FX lot, $7 charged once at trade opening on precious metals, and 0.04% charged once at opening on crypto, against raw spreads from 0.0 pips. Whether ECN Zero is cheaper depends on how tight the raw spread actually is on the instruments you trade, so compare the live table rather than the headline.
Up to 1:1000 on most accounts and up to 1:5000 on the Optimus account, both stated as based on equity, meaning the cap falls as your balance grows. The ceiling also depends on the entity you registered with and on the instrument. These are among the highest figures in the industry and they cut both ways: at 1:5000 a move of roughly 0.02% against a fully leveraged position wipes out the margin behind it. Optimus also runs a 0% stop-out, so a losing position is closed only when the margin is completely gone.
FXGT states that its website is not intended to offer investment services to residents of the United States, the member states of the European Union, Canada, North Korea and Ukraine, or to residents of other countries whose domestic rules prohibit such an offering. Account types, promotions and trading conditions also differ by country, so what you are shown on fxgt.com depends on where you are browsing from.
4.3 out of 5 from 1,668 reviews on 23 September 2026: 70% five-star, 12% four-star, 5% three-star, 3% two-star and 10% one-star. Trustpilot displays its high-risk investment information notice on the profile, which it applies to leveraged-trading firms as a category rather than to FXGT specifically, and FXGT invites its own customers to review. A 10% one-star tail is wide for a 4.3 average, and those reviews are the ones worth reading.
MT4 and MT5 on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, plus its own FXGT Trader web platform and the FXGT mobile app. Expert advisors and custom indicators work as they would on any MetaTrader broker. Trade sizes run 0.01 to 50 lots with a 200-lot maximum volume and a limit of 100 open positions and 100 pending orders.
All five account types are marked swap-free on FXGT’s account-types page, but the Standard account’s own detail table lists a swap-free days allowance of 0 days across all assets, which is not the same thing as indefinite swap-free trading. If overnight costs matter to your strategy, confirm the current allowance for the specific account and instrument in the client portal before you open a position.
It is easy to start with — $0 minimum balance on three of the five accounts, fast onboarding and MetaTrader — but the structure carries real risk for a first account: leverage to 1:5000, a 0% stop-out on the Optimus account, crypto sitting outside the licensed scope, and a Seychelles entity behind most retail relationships rather than an EU or UK one. A beginner is better served by the Standard or Mini account at modest leverage, or by a broker whose retail entity sits under a regulator with a compensation scheme.
