Tickmill publishes no country-to-entity mapping anywhere, so the advice to check which entity onboards you cannot be followed: tickmill.com serves the Seychelles FSA SD008 agreement. Raw costs $6 round turn on MT4/MT5, $7 on TradingView Raw, from $100, plus 10 per quarter if you stop trading.

Tickmill at a Glance: Key Facts and Figures

Who Is Tickmill and Who Owns It?

Trading since: 2014
Structure: a group of four separately regulated entities, not one company
Entities: Tickmill UK Ltd · Tickmill Europe Ltd · Tickmill South Africa (Pty) Ltd · Tickmill Ltd (Seychelles)
Payments arm: Procard Global Ltd, UK reg. 09369927, wholly owned
Type: low-cost ECN forex and CFD broker
Platforms: MT4, MT5, TradingView, Tickmill Trader
Execution: 0.15 seconds average (150ms) on Tickmill figures — no measurement period is published
Why it matters: which of the four entities holds your money decides your leverage cap, your negative balance protection and whether any compensation scheme covers you at all. Tickmill publishes no list of which country is served by which entity. Group facts read on tickmill.com, 16 Sep 2026.

Is Tickmill Regulated? Licences, Entities and Numbers

Tickmill does not publish a country-to-entity map. Four separate Tickmill pages were checked on 16 Sep 2026 — the licences page, the regulation FAQ, the account-registration FAQ and the registration-requirements FAQ — and none of them says which entity onboards which country. The global site tickmill.com serves the Seychelles Client Service Agreement, so that is the entity most non-UK, non-EU readers should expect.

DFSA (Dubai)Tickmill UK Ltd representative officeRef. F007663n/aNone — a representative office cannot hold client money.
Caution: Tickmill’s own licences page advertises FSCS cover of £120,000. That is the FSCS deposit limit for banks. Tickmill UK Ltd is an investment firm, and its own FCA Terms of Business states the investment limit of £85,000. Use the lower figure. Both documents read 16 Sep 2026.
Why it matters: the entity offering the highest leverage is the one with no published compensation scheme and no published negative balance protection. Licence numbers above come from Tickmill’s own binding legal documents; confirm each one on the regulator register before you deposit.

Tickmill Reputation: Independent Ratings and Trustpilot

Trustpilot: no score is shown. The profile carries 1,160 reviews, 27% of them one-star.
Myfxbook: 4.3 out of 5 from 155 reviews
BrokerChooser: 4.4 out of 5, page last updated 3 Sep 2026
All three read 16 Sep 2026.
Caution: Tickmill has no Trustpilot rating at the moment. Trustpilot displays two notices on the profile: “This company’s rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines” and, under a Breach of guidelines heading, “We’ve removed a number of fake reviews for this company.” Trustpilot attaches no date to either notice, so we do not date it. See the Tickmill Trustpilot profile, the Myfxbook page and the BrokerChooser review.
Why it matters: with no Trustpilot score to read, the usual crowd check on this broker is unavailable. Weigh the analyst scores above against Tickmill’s own published figures, and test a small withdrawal yourself before funding an account properly.

What Can You Trade with Tickmill?

Forex — over 60 currency pairs
Stock indices, commodities, stocks and ETFs as CFDs
Crypto CFDs
Exchange-traded futures — a UK-entity product only
Per-class instrument counts are not published. Only the forex count is.
Why it matters: Tickmill gives two different totals on its own site — “over 600 CFDs” on the instruments page and “180+ available instruments” on its why-Tickmill page, both read 16 Sep 2026. We print neither as fact. The only figure Tickmill states consistently is over 60 currency pairs.

Which Tickmill Entity Will You Be Onboarded With?

Tickmill does not tell you. Four Tickmill pages were checked on 16 Sep 2026 — the licences and regulation page, the regulation FAQ, the account-registration FAQ topic and the registration-requirements FAQ — and none of them maps a country to an entity, explains how a client is assigned to one, or says whether you may choose. With four regulated entities and three different levels of client protection behind them, that is not a detail you can leave to chance.

The one signal Tickmill does give is indirect. The global site tickmill.com serves the Seychelles Client Service Agreement, and its account pages advertise leverage up to 1:1000 — a figure no FCA, CySEC or FSCA entity could offer. A reader who lands on tickmill.com and sees 1:1000 is being shown Tickmill Ltd, Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer licence SD008: the entity with no published compensation scheme and no negative balance protection clause in its agreement.

What to do before you deposit: open the client agreement linked from the site you actually registered on, check which company name and licence number appear in it, and confirm that number on the regulator register. If the agreement names Tickmill Ltd rather than Tickmill UK Ltd or Tickmill Europe Ltd, neither the FSCS nor the Cyprus ICF applies to your money.

How We Rated Tickmill

Our rating: 4.1 / 5

We rated Tickmill against what Tickmill itself publishes: its licences and regulation page, the binding client agreements and terms of business filed under each entity, its account and trading-condition pages, its deposit and withdrawal conditions, and its FAQ topics. Every figure on this page was read on 16 September 2026. Unless a line is labelled as third-party, the numbers come from Tickmill’s own pages and legal documents; Trustpilot and broker-comparison sources are labelled where they are used. Where Tickmill publishes two figures that disagree, we print both and rely on the more conservative one, and where it publishes nothing we say so rather than estimate. The scoring itself follows our published rating methodology.

Tickmill Account Types and Spreads Compared

Classic Account

Commission-free
Spreads from 1.6 pips — a minimum, not a typical
Minimum deposit $100
Platforms: MT4, MT5, TradingView, Tickmill Trader
Base currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR (ZAR for South African residents only)
Why it matters: Tickmill publishes no typical or average spread for any pair and attaches no capture date to its live spread table, so 1.6 pips is the best case and not what you should budget for. Figures read 16 Sep 2026.

Raw Account

Spreads from 0.0 pips — a minimum, not a typical
Commission $3 per lot per side, so $6 round turn
Platforms: MT4 and MT5 only
Commission applies to CFDs on FX and precious metals only
Minimum deposit $100 · base currencies USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR
Why it matters: the $6 round turn everyone quotes for Tickmill is the Raw account on MT4 and MT5. Trade the same raw pricing through TradingView and you pay $3.50 per side, which is $7 round turn. Read 16 Sep 2026.

TradingView Raw Account

Spreads from 0.0 pips
Commission $3.50 per lot per side, so $7 round turn
Platforms: TradingView and Tickmill Trader
No commission on CFD indices, cryptos and oil
Base currency: USD only · minimum deposit $100
Why it matters: charting and executing inside TradingView costs $1 more per lot round turn than the same raw pricing on MT4 or MT5. Over 100 lots a month that is $100. Read 16 Sep 2026.

Execution Speed and Order Fills

Average execution 0.15 seconds (150 milliseconds) on Tickmill figures
Fill rate 99.9% with no requotes, on Tickmill figures

Why it matters: 0.15 seconds is the figure Tickmill states on three of its own pages. It publishes no date range, sample size or method behind it, and no slippage statistics at all, so treat it as a marketing figure rather than a measurement. Read 16 Sep 2026.

Why it matters: Raw on MT4 or MT5 at $6 round turn is cheaper than IC Markets Raw Spread, which charges $3.50 per side, or $7 round turn, on its own site as at 16 Sep 2026. That gap is one dollar a lot and it can change without notice. Spread rows here have no typical figure because Tickmill publishes none.

Tickmill Leverage Limits by Entity

Tickmill Ltd (Seychelles, SD008): 1:500 default. 1:1000 appears only on selected symbols, only on MT5 and Tickmill Trader.
Tickmill Europe Ltd (CySEC 278/15): 1:30 on major FX pairs, then 1:20, 1:10 and 1:5 by asset class
Tickmill UK Ltd (FCA 717270): no maximum leverage figure is published
Tickmill South Africa (FSP 49464): not published
Silver is offered at a quarter of the account leverage — a 1:500 account gives 1:125 on silver.
Caution: the 1:1000 headline is a first-tier figure only. Under Tickmill’s own dynamic leverage table it applies to the first 2 lots of forex and gold exposure, dropping to 1:500 from 2.01 lots, 1:100 from 200 lots and 1:10 above 400 lots. Indices start at 1:200 and crypto at 1:200. Read 16 Sep 2026.
Why it matters: high leverage and strong protection do not come together here. The entity that offers 1:500 is the one with no published compensation scheme and no published negative balance protection.

Caution — the two card numbers do not agree. Tickmill’s deposit-and-withdrawal page says card withdrawals are handled “within 1 working day”, while its withdrawals FAQ says card withdrawals take “up to 8 working days”. The first is how quickly Tickmill processes the request; the second is when the money reaches you. Read both on 16 Sep 2026. If you have seen a Tickmill withdrawal described as delayed, this gap is the most likely reason.
Also worth knowing: Tickmill processes all withdrawal requests within one working day and charges no withdrawal fee. Withdrawals go back through the method you deposited with. Deposits must come from a payment method in your own name — third-party funding is not accepted. Skrill and Neteller are the only e-wallets Tickmill names. No maximum withdrawal, cut-off time or currency conversion fee is published.

Tickmill Deposits: Methods, Times and Fees

Tickmill states a starting deposit of $100 for every account type — Classic, Raw and TradingView Raw — and adds that the amount may vary with your base currency. It charges no deposit fee on any method, but says intermediary banks or e-wallet providers may charge their own. All figures read 16 Sep 2026.

Worth knowing before you fund: Tickmill does not accept third-party funding — every deposit must come from a payment method in your own name. Skrill and Neteller are the only e-wallets it names. Your base currency choice depends on your country of residence, and ZAR is available only to residents of South Africa. Tickmill publishes no maximum deposit amount and no currency-conversion fee.

Restricted Countries: Who Tickmill Will Not Accept

Is Tickmill Available in India, Singapore, the US, Iran or Japan?

Tickmill states in its own site-wide footer that its services and the information on tickmill.com are not directed at or intended for access by persons in:
SingaporeUnited StatesIranIndiaJapan
Tickmill adds “or any other jurisdiction where the offering of such products or services would be unlawful”, but it names no further countries. Those five are the whole published list. Read 16 Sep 2026.
India is on that list. India is one of the largest sources of search interest in this broker, and Tickmill explicitly says its services are not directed at persons there. If you are in India, Singapore, the United States, Iran or Japan, do not treat this page as an invitation to open an account.
Why it matters: the Seychelles Client Service Agreement adds only that access “may be or become restricted and/or unavailable” in certain countries, without naming any. Since Tickmill also publishes no country-to-entity map, there is no published way to confirm in advance either which entity would take you on or whether it would take you on at all.

Video Reviews from Independent Traders

What to Check Before You Deposit

Before you deposit:
Ask Tickmill in writing which legal entity your account is opened with — FCA 717270, CySEC 278/15, FSCA 49464 or Seychelles FSA SD008 — because Tickmill publishes no country-to-entity map
Check that entity number on the regulator register yourself before depositing
Trustpilot shows no rating for Tickmill at present, so use analyst reviews and Tickmill’s own published figures instead
Budget for the quarterly inactivity fee of 10 USD, EUR or GBP if you may stop trading
Test a small withdrawal early — card withdrawals can take up to eight working days to arrive
Complete KYC upfront to avoid later delays

Classic vs Raw vs TradingView Raw: Tickmill Accounts Side by Side

Headline spreads are minimums. Tickmill publishes no typical or average spread for any pair and attaches no capture date to its live spread table, so the honest comparison is on commission: $6 round turn on Raw via MT4 or MT5 against $7 on TradingView Raw. The $100 minimum can vary by base currency — Tickmill says so but does not publish the non-USD figures. ZAR accounts are for South African residents only.

Verdict: on the one figure we can compare from both brokers’ own pages today, Tickmill Raw on MT4 or MT5 is a dollar a lot cheaper round turn than IC Markets Raw Spread. That is a real edge for high-volume traders and it is also the kind of number that changes without notice. Cells marked not verified were not re-checked against those brokers’ own pages in this update, and we would rather show a gap than a stale number on a page about where your money goes.

Tickmill is genuinely cheap to trade if you use the Raw account on MT4 or MT5 — and a broker whose paperwork you should read before you fund it. Raw costs $3 per lot per side, or $6 round turn, from a $100 minimum, with spreads quoted from 0.0 pips. The same raw pricing through TradingView costs $3.50 per side, or $7 round turn.

What stands out: commission that undercuts IC Markets Raw Spread by a dollar a lot as at 16 Sep 2026, a $100 minimum on every account, no deposit or withdrawal fees, scalping and expert advisors allowed, and MT4, MT5, TradingView and Tickmill Trader all supported.

What to weigh: Tickmill runs four separately regulated entities — Tickmill UK Ltd (FCA 717270), Tickmill Europe Ltd (CySEC 278/15), Tickmill South Africa (FSP 49464) and Tickmill Ltd (Seychelles FSA SD008) — and publishes nothing anywhere that tells you which one will hold your money. Only the FCA and CySEC entities publish a compensation scheme. There is a quarterly inactivity fee of 10 USD, EUR or GBP (£10 on the FCA entity) that appears in no fees page or FAQ, only in the legal PDFs. Card withdrawals can take up to eight working days to arrive. Trustpilot currently shows no rating at all for Tickmill, citing a breach of its guidelines and the removal of fake reviews.

Bottom line: for cost-focused forex traders, scalpers and algo traders who will trade regularly, Tickmill Raw on MT4 or MT5 is one of the cheapest ways to get raw pricing. Before you deposit, confirm in writing which legal entity your account is opened with, check the leverage and compensation that entity actually offers, and test a small withdrawal early. If you are in Singapore, the United States, Iran, India or Japan, Tickmill says its services are not directed at you.

Tickmill FAQs

Key questions about Tickmill: which entity onboards you, what Raw and TradingView Raw really cost, the quarterly inactivity fee, withdrawal times, and why Trustpilot shows no rating.

Yes, by four regulators, through four separate companies. Tickmill UK Ltd holds FCA firm reference 717270. Tickmill Europe Ltd holds CySEC licence 278/15. Tickmill South Africa (Pty) Ltd holds FSCA FSP 49464. Tickmill Ltd holds Seychelles FSA securities dealer licence SD008. A Dubai representative office (ref. F007663) cannot hold client money. Tickmill does not publish which entity serves which country, so ask before you deposit. Licence numbers read from Tickmill legal documents on 16 Sep 2026.
Tickmill is a licensed broker and says client funds are held separately from company funds. Three things are worth knowing before you decide. First, only the FCA and CySEC entities publish a compensation scheme: the CySEC entity is covered by the ICF at 90% of an eligible claim up to 20,000 euros, while the South Africa and Seychelles entities publish none. Second, Tickmill advertises FSCS cover of 120,000 pounds, but its own binding FCA Terms of Business states 85,000 pounds, which is the investment limit that applies to an investment firm. Third, Tickmill publishes no country-to-entity map, so you cannot tell in advance which of the four holds your money. All read 16 Sep 2026.
Tickmill states a starting deposit of $100 for every account type: Classic, Raw and TradingView Raw. It adds that the amount may vary depending on your base currency, giving ZAR as an example of a lower minimum, but it does not publish the non-USD figures anywhere. UnionPay is the one method with a different stated minimum, at 700 CNY or the equivalent of 100 USD, EUR or GBP. Read 16 Sep 2026.
The Classic account quotes spreads from 1.6 pips with no commission. The Raw account quotes from 0.0 pips and charges $3 per lot per side, which is $6 round turn, and it runs on MT4 and MT5 only. TradingView Raw also quotes from 0.0 pips but charges $3.50 per lot per side, which is $7 round turn, and it is USD-only. Commission applies to CFDs on FX and precious metals only. Every spread figure above is a minimum: Tickmill publishes no typical or average spread for any pair and puts no capture date on its live spread table. Read 16 Sep 2026.
MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView, the proprietary Tickmill Trader platform and the Tickmill mobile app. cTrader is not offered. Which platform you can use depends on the account: the Raw account runs on MT4 and MT5 only, while TradingView Raw runs on TradingView and Tickmill Trader. Read 16 Sep 2026.
It depends entirely on the entity. The Seychelles entity gives 1:500 as the default. The 1:1000 figure used in Tickmill marketing is the first band of its dynamic leverage table: it applies only to the first 2 lots of forex and gold exposure, only on MT5 and Tickmill Trader, and it drops to 1:500 above 2 lots, 1:100 above 200 lots and 1:10 above 400 lots. The CySEC entity is capped at 1:30 for retail clients on major FX pairs. Tickmill publishes no maximum leverage for its FCA or FSCA entities. Silver is offered at a quarter of your account leverage. Read 16 Sep 2026.
Because Trustpilot has withheld it. The Tickmill profile currently displays no TrustScore and carries two notices: “This company’s rating is unavailable due to a breach of our guidelines” and, under a Breach of guidelines heading, “We’ve removed a number of fake reviews for this company.” The profile still shows 1,160 reviews, 224 of them in the last twelve months, of which 27% are one-star. Trustpilot attaches no date to either notice, so we do not date it. Read 16 Sep 2026. Analyst ratings elsewhere are higher: Myfxbook 4.3 out of 5 from 155 reviews, BrokerChooser 4.4 out of 5.
Tickmill names forex, cryptocurrencies, commodities, stock indices, stocks and ETFs, all as CFDs, plus over 60 currency pairs. Exchange-traded futures appear to be a UK-entity product only. Be careful with the headline instrument count: Tickmill gives two different totals on its own site, over 600 CFDs on the instruments page and 180+ on its why-Tickmill page, so we print neither. Per-class counts for indices, commodities, shares, ETFs and crypto are not published. Read 16 Sep 2026.
No. Tickmill states in its site-wide footer that its services and the information on tickmill.com are not directed at or intended for access by persons in Singapore, the United States, Iran, India or Japan, or any other jurisdiction where offering them would be unlawful. Those five are the only countries Tickmill names anywhere. Note that India appears on that list. Read 16 Sep 2026.
It is competitive for it. Scalping and expert advisors are allowed, there is no dealing desk, and the Raw account on MT4 or MT5 costs $6 round turn, which is a dollar a lot less than IC Markets Raw Spread as at 16 Sep 2026. Two caveats: use MT4 or MT5 rather than TradingView, because the same raw pricing there costs $7 round turn, and remember that Tickmill quotes its 0.15 second average execution and 99.9% fill rate without publishing a measurement period, sample size or any slippage data.
Tickmill says it processes every withdrawal request within one working day, but the time the money takes to reach you depends on the method: an international bank wire takes 2 to 7 working days, card withdrawals take up to 8 working days, and all other methods are usually within 1 working day. Note that Tickmill deposit-and-withdrawal page separately describes card withdrawals as within 1 working day, which is its own processing time rather than arrival. The minimum withdrawal is 25 USD, EUR or GBP, there is no Tickmill withdrawal fee, and withdrawals go back through the method you deposited with. Read 16 Sep 2026.
You register on the Tickmill site and open a demo from the client area. Two limits are worth knowing: you can open up to 7 demo accounts per registered email address, and an MT4 or MT5 demo expires if you do not log into it for 7 days. Tickmill does not publish the virtual balance a demo starts with. Dynamic leverage applies on demo accounts too, on the Tickmill Trader and MT5 platforms. Read 16 Sep 2026.
