Top Prop Firms
This is our full list of prop firms, ranked by what they actually cost and pay, not by who pays us. Every review is re-checked against the firm’s own site, its help centre and its live Trustpilot profile, and each page carries the date it was checked. Firms that have closed, rebranded or lost their Trustpilot rating are labelled in the list below, so you can see the risk before you click. Last list update: 23 Sep 2026.
What decides the real cost of a prop firm
Two firms can advertise the same profit split and still leave you with very different money. These four things decide the difference, and all of them are worth checking on the firm’s own rules page before you pay:
- How the fee is charged. One-time evaluations (for example Apex Trader Funding at $167 for a 25K futures account, or Lark Funding from $99) cost nothing further if you take your time; monthly plans keep billing while you trade.
- Static or trailing drawdown. A static limit is fixed at the start (Lark 7%, its 3-Step 5%); a trailing one follows your highest balance and can end an account that is still in profit.
- Payout rules and fees. Ask how often you can request, what the minimum is and what is deducted: AquaFunded takes 3% of every payout, Lark takes a flat $40, and Apex caps each account at six payouts.
- The caps nobody advertises. Consistency rules, daily gain caps (Lark stops at $10,000 a day), news-profit caps (AquaFunded 0.5% of the balance per cycle) and paid add-ons for weekend holding.
Our reviews list these in the same order every time, so you can compare two firms in a couple of minutes.
Prop firms to approach with caution in 2026
Prop firms close, get bought or lose their review record faster than most trader lists admit. These are the ones flagged in our list right now (all checked in September 2026):
- Closed: C7 Funding, MyFundedFX and The Funded Trader are marked “do not deposit” in the list above.
- Bought or rebranded: Glow Node was bought by Sway Funded and its site is offline; Aqua Futures now sits inside AquaFunded.
- Trustpilot rating hidden: AquaFunded and Funded Trading Plus both carry a “breach of guidelines” warning, with their star scores removed after fake reviews were found. Any star rating you see quoted for them elsewhere is out of date.
Whichever firm you pick, the same rule applies: start on the smallest account, request a payout as early as the rules allow, and only scale after the money arrives.
